Ellen DeYoung ~ Ellie Marie Gifts
Stage Manager
Hey there! I'm Ellen (aka Ellie Marie), and I'd love to make you some jewelry! I’ve always loved making little crafty things, including jewelry. I remember experimenting with beads, string, cord, and wire as a kid to see what beautiful pieces I could create. (Bless my mother for buying me jewelry kits at Walmart, then willingly wearing the gaudy things I came up with!) I was bit with the crafting bug again in early 2020, and my little Etsy shop is the result. Starting this endeavor combines so many parts of my personality: the need to create, the urge to fiddle, an attention to detail, and a dash of problem-solving. Take a look around, and let me know what I can create for you!

Katie Strom Rozanas ~ Krae Abstract Art
Performer/Musician/Educator
Katie is a Twin Cities based actress and musician. Many of her theater credits have been through Lyric Arts Main Street Stage. Her favorite previous roles include: Alice (Bright Star), Percy (The Spitfire Grill), Elizabeth (Young Frankenstein), Isabella (Flavio Betrayed), Gabriella (Boeing Boeing) and Jean (Dead Man’s Cellphone). Outside of performing, she enjoys exploring Minnesota’s craft beer scene together with her husband at their beer blog Ale Adventures.
My abstract art journey took off during quarantine in March of 2020. I grew up taking numerous art classes, but theater ended up being the primary creative outlet and career choice as an adult. I was just about to open Drood at Lyric Arts when everything shut down, and my heart needed to find a way to process the loss. Painting became a way of escape, therapy and ultimately find joy during a really tough season. It has truly become a passion and something that will be a part of me forever. I utilize acrylic paints on canvas using a palette knife to create one of my favorite things - TEXTURE.

Nickie Kromminga Hill ~ Scrabble Paintings & Cross-Stitch

Nickie Kromminga Hill is a musical theatre performer and educator with numerous credits under her belt. Locally she has performed in 18 shows at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, and also appeared at the Ordway, Troupe America, and Paul Bunyan Playhouse. Nickie recently published her first book, “Things I’m Thinking About: a daughter’s thoughts on the loss of her mom.” available now on Amazon.
Painting and cross-stitching are things that my mom taught me when I was a little girl. I love doing them now as an adult as both forms calm me, inspire me, and help me stay connected to my (now-deceased) mom. I hope you enjoy my fun, sometimes silly, but always made with love, art and crafts!

I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Music teacher in 1995, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible. If that sounds like something you’d like to explore, get in touch.
My background freelancing in all styles of music from orchestral to musicals has given me insight into building unique, beautiful and versatile custom drums and mallets.
My newest venture is turning broken cymbals into jewelry, such as necklaces, keychains and earrings.
